Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to reach 900 goals in his career at the highest level as Portugal opened their Nations League campaign with a win over Croatia.
The 39-year-old doubled Portugal's lead in the 34th minute when he volleyed in a Nuno Mendes cross from the edge of the six-yard box
It was Portugal's 131st goal, 20 years after his first, and the veteran fell to his knees in emotional celebration.
Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot gave Portugal an early lead but he then fired the ball into his own net as Croatia responded before half-time.
In addition to Portugal, Ronaldo has scored for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and most recently Al Nasr in Saudi Arabia.
Portugal finished level on points in Group 1 of the Premier League after beating Scotland in their opening match against Poland on Thursday.
